Meet the Clover Family

Good design takes time, talent and detail.

Let’s be clear. Contrary to popular TV shows, good design doesn’t occur magically or even quickly. Good design takes time, talent and incredible attention to detail. Good design requires hundreds of decisions that include: floor plan, fabrics, finishes, furniture, color palettes, product selection, ordering, tracking, inspection, return and contractor coordination/oversight. It’s enough to overwhelm even the most capable person.

At Clover, our talented professionals and processes remove the overwhelm. We create the design of your dreams while managing all of the details. As a client said, “It’s like you got into my head and made it all come together beautifully”. Our team and proven process save you time, frustration and costly mistakes. Our goal at Clover Designs is to create joy, comfort and peace in your space, and in the process.

Courtney Markoff

Our spaces tell their stories, share their values and evoke feelings that fuel the soul. Yes, our Clover Designs team is committed to designing custom curated spaces, while also being known for clarity, excellent communication and creating lasting relationships.

The Process:

Details determine the design. It’s not the other way around. With her degree in communications and background in organizational development, Courtney has built Clover on this solid foundation: process and details have an enormous influence on executing design flawlessly. From client interviews to client questionnaires, to moodboards and floor plans, to finishes and furnishings, and from project management to execution, Clover Designs handles all of the details. Every. Single. One.

The Result:

Clover Designs has a proven track record. We are one of the leading design firms in the area for our clean, classic and timeless aesthetic. We mix our favorite finishes, furnishings and fabrics to create a stunning and sophisticated result. Our design detective approach mixed with our clients’ personality and style shape a killer combo in each home we design.

The Story:

Courtney started Clover Designs as a solopreneur with a passion for people, joy, and transformation. Today, Clover has grown to a team of professionals that share the same passion, but are all uniquely different in style, personality and strengths which adds incredible depth and value to designs. Each new project is just as exciting as the last. It’s always an honor to create and design spaces that our clients love and don’t want to leave. Seeing the look on their faces, their happy tears, their pure joy when the design is showcased (for the first time) and construction is complete never ever gets old!

Clover Design Team Member Courtney Markoff CEO and Founder

Courtney Markoff

CEO and Founder

“Creativity is in my blood.”

Courtney is the Owner and Founder of Clover Designs. “Her mission is to create joy, comfort and peace through the power of design!

Courtney’s an entrepreneur through and through. She started designing as a child, but her canvas was a dollhouse that her father had made her. Little did she know that would lead to designing dream spaces as a passion. Design and demo run in the family. After studying Communications at Rochester College, she started several successful businesses. She designed curriculum and training in corporate America. Then she transitioned to designing and creating a non-profit that helped single parent families. After struggling with an auto-immune disorder, Courtney returned to her childhood passion and started transforming spaces into places that her clients never want to leave. Courtney has always been in the business of design and transformation, but her canvas changed and evolved as did her life.

That brings us to today, as Courtney combines her corporate background with her heart to help others and gracefully blends that combo with her design eye. She believes that good design tells a story and should evoke peace. Creating beautiful spaces isn’t just a hobby for her anymore. It’s a career. It’s a passion. It’s a well thought through, strategically developed process that over the years has become the “secret sauce” of the Clover client experience.

Courtney’s effervescence, attention to detail and expertise create a space that will captivate you immediately, and that you will fall in love with over and over again. Her energy and passion are absolutely contagious.

FREE FUN TIME FACTS:
When not working, Courtney spends time with her son, Lucas. At 15, Lucas already has more energy and creativity in his pinky finger than most people on their best day. He is now one of the renderers on her team. (You’d never know a teenager was one of the creatives producing such incredible results.) As a family, they enjoy traveling, skiing, campfires, being goofy, and creating lasting
memories together.
