Our Full-Service Interior Design Process
Contrary to popular TV shows, good design doesn’t occur in weeks. Good design takes time, talent and incredible attention to detail. It requires hundreds of decisions that include: detailed measurements per space, floor plan, fabrics, finishes, furniture, color palettes, product selection, ordering, tracking, inspection, return and contractor coordination/oversight. It’s enough to overwhelm even the most capable person. A high level breakdown is listed here for those interested, but remember our team handles these details so you don’t have to.

Phase One:
Research
At Clover, we spend a great deal of time in this phase because the research phase is the foundation of the design. This phase begins with a complimentary “Meet and Greet” intended to understand our client’s needs, timeline, budget and goals to ensure a good fit. Depending on the SOW (Scope of Work) or size of the project (entire residence versus help with a few rooms) the amount of time needed during this phase varies. Some elements during this phase include (per space):
- Initial Meet and Greet
- Two hour client consultation
- Contractor communication and trade estimates
- Scope of work development and presentation

Phase One:
Research
At Clover, we spend a great deal of time in this phase because the research phase is the foundation of the design. The time spent in this phase is intentional and strategic. Our designs are custom curated spaces and each element selected directly influences the other creating a beautifully balanced space. Some elements during this phase include (per space):
- Client questionnaires and inspiration images
- Moodboards, floor plans, and drawings
- 3D Renderings and more

Development

During the Development Phase the design team’s hard work begins to take shape! During this phase, our team develops moodboards, selects, decor accents, fabrics, finishes, furnishings, color, and every little detail that creates the client’s dream space. This phase is often overlooked, but equally as important as all of the other phases. Procurement is critical and essential for the execution of the final design. This phase includes the following for hundreds (if not thousands) of products, furnishings and finishes:
- Purchase and negotiate pricing from trade accounts
- Place orders, coordinate tracking, delivery and storage
- Receive selections, inspect selections, and approve or return
- Manage returns, exchanges, and replacements
- Store selections until construction phase begins

Phase Three:
