About the Restaurant remodel Project
THE BACKSTORY:
Victoria was referred by a local builder that we have worked with for a number of years. She was interested in updating the design of her restaurant and wanted to target a different clientele in doing so.
This client was very decisive. She knew exactly what she liked and did not like, however she was unsure how to bring everything together perfectly to accomplish her goal. She wanted a vintage Paris bistro vibe. She came prepared with a binder of images that she had ripped out of magazines and saved for years. This was her shot. The one revamp of a lifetime. The one that she had been dreaming about and saving inspiration images for years. It was her baby and we were honored to be trusted with something so special!
PROJECT CHALLENGES:
Covid. We started design just before Covid. Once Covid hit, the restaurant remodel slowed as did the others. Thankfully, we were far enough through the development phase that we were still able to present renderings, selections, fabrics, finishes and other deliverables safely.
CLIENT REACTION:
I don’t have a testimony in her own words. According to her reviews, feedback and guests that have visited the “atmosphere is quaint and feels like you’re in a Paris bistro.” So I’d say, we nailed it!
Also, I visit regularly, and they are always busy. Her clientele seems to have shifted toward her target as well from what I have observed.
WHAT MAKES THIS RESTAURANT REMODEL SPECIAL:
The bistro was curated to showcase a warm and welcoming vintage vibe. Exposing the historic brick, keeping the historic elements like the ceiling and bank vault created the charm and old class European environment desired.
